Eclectic Artisans' online gallery introduces our latest arrivals, and welcomes our new Swedish artisan, Malin Jansson, to our growing collective of 110 invited artisans who represent 30 countries across the globe.
EA is excited to welcome Malin Jansson from Sweden to our family of talented artisans. Malin makes bold contemporary jewellery in silver and brass, mostly necklaces, bracelets and earrings. She also designs digitally printed scarfs in 100% silk. In both areas Malin is inspired by architectural details, structures in nature and combinations of materials and colours. Below are two lovely items from her new gallery.
One-of-a-kind Art Deco inspired statement necklace in brushed oxidized silver. For added interest, a thin oxidized silver ball chain runs through a squared pipe at the top of the necklace giving it a neat stylish look.
In addition to our unique jewellery, EA is now sourcing handcrafted fashion accessories. These elegant 100% silk scarves are perfect for any occasion. Drape around your neck, shoulders or hips on the beach for a classy look. Malin took the photo of palm trees and birds during a holiday to Bali. These digital printed scarves are available in three colours: Peach, Jade or Grey.
American Alison Nagasue creates jewellery for women who appreciate warmth, beauty, elegance and align with her artistic aesthetics. Below are just two of the many new pieces Alison has recently added to the EA Gallery.
This stunning bespoke ring is modern, detailed and colourful, featuring a Lightning Ridge opal surrounded by a heavy bezel in 18K green gold with a top row of diamonds. The band has varying shades of Columbian emeralds. The rest of the all gold band has one smooth side while the reverse side has interesting textures.
A beautiful iridescent Lightning Ridge opal from Australia is custom cut and set into the tail of a golden firefly emitting shimmering light. This artistic necklace is made in 18K green gold with a cable chain and lobster clasp.
Christine Rozina transforms book pages, coloured paper, scripts, letters and other paper into meaningful jewellery pieces, extraordinary in shape and appearance. This talented German artisan has also trained in goldsmithing techniques, such as forging, soldering and stone-setting, to be able to incorporate the paper elements with gems and precious metals. Her imaginative work is quite awe-inspiring. See below.
Bound fragments of a novel and hammered sterling silver findings form the acorn shape of these lightweight earrings for lovers of nature and books. The slightly fanned book pages look delicate but can with stand some raindrops as they are laminated to make the paper hard and waterproof.
This book face sculpture is composed of hand carved and shaped book pages, bound into a cover of fine anthracite goat leather. The cutting edges are slightly painted to highlight the eye area. The face shows different expressions as one passes it because of the fanned pages. True artistic magic!
