This pendant/brooch convertible piece with a drop of amber and a pin wielding a peacock pearl throws itself at the altar of Margaret de Patta. All accent stones are bezel set.

Due to the large gauge of the pin (about 1mm in thickness), you are best to wear this piece on fabrics with open weaves such as you would see on scarfs and boleros. Otherwise, this brooch may leave a noticeable mark on fine fabrics.
