Beautiful Accident

Curious about everything Bruno Caby is particularly passionate about semiotics, bio-mimicry, morphogenesis, fractals, from the infinitely large to the infinitely small. The brand name  "Beautiful Accident" illustrates his methodology: “It is easier to find when you don't know what you are looking for. Experiment by causing accidents with the material. Observe and try to reproduce them when they deserve it.”

After a short career as an industrial designer, during which he worked a lot around the “Tool”, at 30 this autodidact decided to turn his back on the industry. Wanting to create a structure made of words and messages, he developed a technique to manufacture these as jewellery and so… he became a jeweller.

Caby is self-taught. Close to the maker movement, but without taking sides, he mixes traditional know-how, techniques he invents, industrial manufacturing and digital technology to create his jewellery.
