Iris works intuitively when making, and her pieces often take on minimalist asymmetrical forms which incorporate colour and are inspired by architecture and nature. For Melbourne, Australia-based jeweller Iris Saar Isaacs, inspiration is all around. Represented by numerous galleries and museum shops internationally, Iris predominately works with hypoallergenic materials such as stainless steel, rubber and aluminium, and employs the techniques of laser cutting and hand-forming when making. Iris holds qualifications in design and three-dimensional studies, and has been the recipient of numerous accolades, including the International Design Award – Silver Award, Faces of Design Award, Melbourne Design Award, Memento Australia Award, and others.
