This pendant is part of the Cage Series. It is about a tension between nature and structure, the grid represents human construct (culture) that cradles a lake rock, water tumbled, incorporating time and history into the work. The metal is literally grown onto and around the stone, like coral growing underwater, its texture is natural and developed through the rules of natural growth.
