Wherever you go, take the weather with you! The shape of these super light earrings is reminiscent of small cocktail umbrellas. They are handmade from artbook pages and silver. The book pages feature colorful, playful patterns and commercial graphic designs from the 1930s. My favorite book for colorful earrings. The book pages are re-bound, cut by hand and then glued to an inner cylinder to retain their shape. The gray-blue colored cutting edges are sealed with wax. Each pair is made by myself and is slightly different by using different pages from the same book. The cutting edge can be colored in different colors (it is blue in the photos) to change the color direction – please let me know which color you like! Because the paper is strong and has good rigidity, it stays in shape. The ear hooks are made of 925 sterling silver. They can tolerate some rain, but should not be allowed to get wet.
