Dorine Decayeux is the designer of VLUM, jewels in volume….
She is a young jeweller whose work features the delicacy of the woven nylon tube. Inspired by experimentation and the versatility of raw materials, she delves into unexpected mediums to realise her delicate graphic pieces in subtle hues. She conceives each piece with careful attention to volume, fall, balance, and chromatic harmony.
“My fascination with new technology and my passion for experimentation with materials gives me an atypical vision of jewellery; I consider it a bridge between fashion, design and visual art.”
A graduate of the École Duperré School of Applied Arts, Dorine launched her own brand “Vlum” in 2012, in the wake of her final year project. Dorine currently works in Paris, in the Vlum Workshop & Boutique in Montmartre.
